Messages Overview
View all your match and activity chat conversations in one place
The Messages page shows all your active conversations from matches and activities in one place. You can see which conversations have new messages at a glance, and tap any conversation to jump straight into the chat.
What You'll See
- Conversation list: All your match chats and activity chats, sorted by most recent message
- Unread indicator: A count showing how many messages you haven't read in each conversation
- Message preview: The last message sent, who sent it, and when
- Navigation badge: The Messages icon in the bottom navigation shows your total unread count across all conversations
Using Messages
- Tap Messages in the bottom navigation bar
- Browse your conversations — newest activity appears first
- Tap a conversation to open the full chat (match chat or activity chat)
- The conversation is automatically marked as read when you open it
Conversation Types
- Match chat: Group conversations between players in a match — opens the match page chat tab
- Activity chat: Conversations for tournament or social play participants — opens the activity page chat tab
Automatic Cleanup
Conversations are automatically removed from your inbox when you leave a match or cancel a booking. Inactive conversations (no new messages for 90 days) are also automatically cleaned up.
Tips
- • The badge on the Messages icon updates in real time as new messages arrive
- • If the badge shows "9+" you have more than 9 unread messages total
- • The list refreshes automatically when you switch back to the Messages tab
