Waitlist & Capacity
What happens when a sport is full, how the waitlist works, and how to claim your spot
Some sports at a club have a limited number of member spots. When a sport is full, you can join a waitlist and get notified automatically when a spot opens up.
When a Sport Is at Capacity
If the sport you want to join has reached its member limit, you will see a message indicating the sport is at capacity. If the club has enabled a waitlist, you can join it to reserve your place in line.
How the Waitlist Works
- First in, first out: The waitlist is processed in the order people joined. The person who has been waiting the longest is notified first when a spot opens.
- Your position: You can view your current position and the total waitlist size from your dashboard at any time.
- Confirmation email: When you join the waitlist, you receive an email confirming your position and a link to check your status.
Claiming Your Spot
When a spot opens and it is your turn, you will receive a series of email reminders with a direct link to claim your spot.
- You receive the first email immediately when a spot becomes available
- Follow-up reminders are sent at regular intervals set by the club
- Each email contains a claim button — click it to start your membership sign-up
- You have a limited time window to claim (shown in each email). If you do not claim in time, the spot is offered to the next person
Cancelling Your Waitlist Entry
You can cancel your waitlist entry at any time while your status is "waiting" or "notified". Go to your dashboard, find the waitlist entry, and click cancel. If you were in "notified" status, the spot is offered to the next person in line.
Tip
Keep an eye on your email when you are near the top of the waitlist. The claim window is limited, and if you miss it the spot goes to the next person.
