Creating a Match
Book a court and invite others to share the cost
Create a match to find players and split the court cost. You book the court, then others join and share the expense.
Creating a Match
- Go to the Courts page and select a time slot
- Choose "Create Match" instead of a private booking
- Set the skill level — this helps attract players at the right level. Options range from Beginner to Advanced.
- Set the number of players needed (typically 2 or 4)
- Add an optional description or message for potential players
- Confirm and pay your share upfront — you only pay your portion of the court cost
Managing Your Match
Once created, your match appears on the Matches page for others to find. From your My Bookings page you can:
- See who has joined and their skill level
- View the current cost split as players join
- Send a message to all participants
- Cancel the match if needed (all players are refunded)
If the Match Doesn't Fill
Your club sets an auto-cancel window (typically 24 hours before start time). If the match hasn't filled by then, it is automatically cancelled and all players — including you — receive a full refund. You can also cancel manually at any time before the match starts.
Match Detail Page
Click on any match in your bookings list to open the match detail page. This shows the full player list, each person's share of the cost, the court and time, and a group chat for coordinating with your playing partners.
Common Problems
- Match not appearing in the Matches list: Make sure you selected "Create Match" and not a private booking. Check the Matches page and ensure you have the correct club selected.
- Want to leave a match after joining: You can leave at any time before the match starts — all joined players will be automatically refunded. Go to My Bookings, select the match, then choose Leave Match.
