Live Scoring During Play
Submit round results, edit mistakes, and follow session progress in real-time
When your Americano Ladder session uses Live Scoring, you submit results round by round directly from your phone or browser. No need to remember all your results at the end — just tap Won or Lost after each round.
Submitting Your Result
- Open the activity page once the session is in progress
- You will see two large buttons: Won and Lost
- Tap the button that matches your pair's outcome for the current round
- Only one player per court needs to submit — the first submission is recorded
Editing a Result
Made a mistake? You have 5 minutes to correct your submission:
- After submitting, an Edit button appears with a countdown timer
- Tap Edit to swap your result (Won becomes Lost, or vice versa)
- Once the 5-minute window closes or the next round begins, editing is no longer available
- Any of the 4 players on the court can submit or edit the result
Between Rounds
After you submit, you may see one of these states:
- Waiting for other courts: Your result is in, but other courts have not finished yet. You can see how many courts have reported.
- Next round ready: All courts reported. Your new court assignment, partner, and opponents are displayed. Move to your assigned court and play the next round.
If another court is taking too long, you can submit on their behalf by tapping the submit-for-other-courts option (requires selecting the winning pair from a confirmation step).
Session Complete
After all 4 rounds finish, you will see:
- A round-by-round summary of your results
- Your aggregate stats: wins, court movements up, upset wins
- A spirit vote prompt — vote for the player who showed the best sportsmanship (you cannot vote for yourself)
Spirit Vote
After the final round, you are asked to vote for one player who demonstrated great sportsmanship. Select a player from the list and confirm your vote. Votes are collected for 30 minutes. If enough players vote, a Spirit Award winner is announced alongside the other awards.
Connection Issues
If your connection drops, the dashboard shows a reconnecting indicator. Once reconnected, it automatically syncs with the latest session state. If reconnection takes longer than 30 seconds, the system falls back to periodic polling until the connection is restored.
Tip
Keep your phone nearby between rounds. Notifications and the dashboard update in real-time so you know exactly when to move to your next court.
